There’s much to be read just now about Mindfulness. This isn’t something new – it’s an ancient practice from the Buddhist contemplative traditions, which now has the Western neuro-scientists ‘doing their science thing’.
They’ve started to realise that the brain holds the potential to change not only its structure, but also to generate new neurons. You can teach an old dog new tricks!
So what, I hear you say! What does this mean for me? Learning the skill of Mindfulness to slow down our lives, live in the moment and increase our personal resilience is a possibility. This interests me greatly and I would like to look at how I can bring this into my Coaching practice.
